About Dr Gustav Pistorius
Dr Pistorius is a professional engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa. He has designed and implemented Enterprise Risk Management systems, and is the former Group Risk Manager for Foskor. He is a trustee for the Foskor Pension Fund, a member of the Roodeplaat Leadership Forum, and a co-founder of the Roodeplaat Jacob’s Well and Business Incubator. Mechanical, maintenance and risk management surveys were done for Alexander Forbes and Collaborative Risk Application cc at Highveld Steel, Aquarius platinum mines, Harmony Gold mines and ASSMANG Chrome (Africa Rainbow Minerals). Further work involved Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility Silver and Gold Shield audits based on King 2, 3 and 4. A group of attorneys, Northern Cape Department of Health, Foskor Group, Jwaneng Debswana Diamond Mining Company, in Botswana and the Roodeplaat Leadership Forum benefitted from his creative solution finding facilitation skills.
